All information is kept up to date and includes the Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm expansions.
Free Trials For Premium Guides
I’ve used and reviewed a whole lotta WoW guides over the last few years and the best Alliance and Horde leveling guide by far is Zygor’s Leveling Guide.
Another of my top recommendations is the Ultimate WoW Guide. It covers everything – leveling, gold, pvp, professions, talent specs, gear, and more. The leveling guide is just a notch below Zygor’s guide, but overall, it represents the best value of all the guides I’ve used. You won’t be disappointed either way.
Dailies and Events Guide
If you’ve already got leveling covered, then you should really start focusing on doing your daily quests and getting the most out of Events. Check out the Dailies and Events guide here.
To get started, pick a class you like:
WoW Leveling Guides
WoW Druid Guide
Druids are a very versatile character class. They are often healers, but they also have a number of other abilities that can make them useful in any situation they might encounter. They are shapeshifters, and can change to a variety of forms that are improve their abilities in various situations. They can also call on nature to bring down blasts of energy or otherwise use nature to help them fight their enemies.
WoW Death Knight Guide
The Death Knight is a Hero class introduced in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. They are a hybrid class, with both magical and melee abilities. A death knight is especially good for tanking and melee damage dealing purposes. They can wear any type of armor, including cloth, leather, mail, or plate, however, they cannot use shields. They can dual wield, but they cannot use ranged weapons.
WoW Hunter Guide
Hunters are ranged fighters that have excellent marksmanship skills, as well as the ability to train pets to assist them in their endeavors. Hunters are also skilled trappers and trackers. They have a number of skills that make them valuable for crowd control as well. A hunter does best when he is at a distance from his attackers, though he does have some skills that can be used in melee situations. This is not his forte, so it is best to stay out of these situations when possible.
WoW Mage Guide
Mages use a number of different spells for area of effect, direct damage, and utility. They are able to use magic to control both the arcane and the elements to do the most damage of any class. They work best when working from afar, and can be a great help in small groups and raiding. Crowd control is another of their strong suits, which is useful in both PvP and PvE play.
WoW Paladin Guide
For those who want a melee character that has good healing and utility abilities, a Paladin might be a good choice. Paladins are a defensive class that has a lot of healing power and is very good at tanking. They can’t dual wield, but they can use shields. Paladins don’t really have any ranged abilities and can’t use ranged weapons, so they are mainly useful as melee fighters.
WoW Priest Guide
Priests are healers that can also do a high amounts of damage. This class is very sought after since they are extremely useful as the main healers in raids. They can shield, heal and even resurrect their allies, while seeking vengeance from their enemies. They work best in groups since they are one of the casting classes that are only allowed to wear cloth armor.
WoW Rogue Guide
A Rogue can be a very powerful character, and very fun to play if you like to sneak around and do a lot of damage. This class can only wear cloth or leather armor, but they have a number of different abilities that help to make up for this. Disadvantages of this class include the fact that they have no party buffs or healing ability available to them.
WoW Shaman Guide
Shamans are spiritual leaders that can call on the elements for power. They are a hybrid class that is a combination of warrior, healer, and mage, making them a good all around class, although they typically won’t be the best at any one thing. Depending on the talents that they choose they can fulfill a number of different purposes.
WoW Warlock Guide
The Warlock class is known for its magical abilities (using the dark arts to control shadow magic and fire magic) and the ability to summon and control demons. They cast spells from a distance and can’t be right in the thick of things, due to their low armor class. Many talents require the use of soul shards, which the warlock has to acquire. This is one of the fastest leveling classes. Although they excel at soloing, these characters can also be very useful in groups.
WoW Warrior Guide
If you want the best class available for melee tanking, choose the Warrior. This class does best in cases of close combat. They can play either an offensive role dealing large amounts of damage or a more defensive role tanking to keep their allies from harm, or they can play a role that is a combination of both these tasks. Each blow they either deal or receive gives them more rage to use to fuel their attacks, and they do well fighting many opponents at the same time.
