They can also call on nature to bring down blasts of energy or otherwise use nature to help them fight their enemies.

WoW Hunter Guide

Hunters are ranged fighters that have excellent marksmanship skills, as well as the ability to train pets to assist them in their endeavors. Hunters are also skilled trappers and trackers. They have a number of skills that make them valuable for crowd control as well. A hunter does best when he is at a distance from his attackers, though he does have some skills that can be used in melee situations. WoW Mage Guide

WoW Priest Guide

Priests are healers that can also do a high amounts of damage. This class is very sought after since they are extremely useful as the main healers in raids. They can shield, heal and even resurrect their allies, while seeking vengeance from their enemies. They work best in groups since they are one of the casting classes that are only allowed to wear cloth armor.

WoW Rogue Guide

A Rogue can be a very powerful character, and very fun to play if you like to sneak around and do a lot of damage. This class can only wear cloth or leather armor, but they have a number of different abilities that help to make up for this. Disadvantages of this class include the fact that they have no party buffs or healing ability available to them.

Shamans are spiritual leaders that can call on the elements for power. They are a hybrid class that is a combination of warrior, healer, and mage, making them a good all around class, although they typically won’t be the best at any one thing. Each blow they either deal or receive gives them more rage to use to fuel their attacks, and they do well fighting many opponents at the same time.

Overview:

The death knight is a Hero class introduced in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. They are a hybrid class, with both magical and melee abilities. A death knight is especially good for tanking and melee damage dealing purposes. They can wear any type of armor, including cloth, leather, mail, or plate, however, they cannot use shields. These characters can also use most weapons, both of the one-handed and the two-handed varieties, including axes, maces, polearms, and swords. They can dual wield, but they cannot use ranged weapons.

All races can become death knights. In order to create one, you must have at least one character at level 55 or above, and you can only create one death knight per realm. This is one of the classes that can be difficult to play well because you have to learn how to properly manage their special rune based power system.

Special Abilities:

The major abilities of the death knight come about through the use of runes and runic power. They can get two runes of each of three types (blood, frost, and unholy) and they use these runes for their spells. Spells consume the runes, but they regenerate in ten seconds. Runes have a certain amount of runic power, with the more power they have the more powerful the spells are. Using the runes generates more runic power, which is used by some of the spells of the death knights.

Talents: Blood, Frost, and Unholy

Blood Death Knight

Death knights with this specialty can better heal themselves and improve their ability to deal damage and their melee spells and weapons. This is usually considered to be a leveling and PvE specialization. Some of the more useful spells using the blood runes are blood aura, two-handed weapon specialization, sudden doom, abomination’s might, heart strike, dancing rune weapon, hysteria and mark of blood.

Frost Death Knight

Frost death knights have improved abilities in tanking and damaging single targets. Some of the talents available in this specialization are also useful for physical damage mitigation. The frost death knight is considered the best for main taking duties, but can also be good for solo questing, parties, and raids. Some of the more useful spells using the frost runes are lichborne, unbreakable armor, bladed armor, icy talons, hungering cold, frost strike, and howling blast.

Unholy Death Knight

Death knights with an unholy specialization have some added area of effect options as well as better abilities to use disease for damage over time. There are also talents to help improve minions that have been summoned, to improve mobility, and to improve spell damage shielding. These nights get a ghoul for a pet and a gargoyle they can summon for a guardian. This is the best of the specializations for PvP and area of effect damage. Some of the more useful spells using the unholy runes are summon gargoyle, crypt fever, master of ghouls, ravenous dead, corpse explosion, unholy blight, night of the dead, unholy aura and anti-magic zone.

Get Your Hands On the Fastest Leveling Guide for Your Death Knight

Leveling a Death Knight is relatively easy. While you do start at much higher level than a new character, death knights also have another advantage – they have all the flight paths. Once you have made your way off of Death Bringer’s Rise you will want to start thinking about where you want your talent spec to go. If you do not plan on being a tank you will want to consider moving your talent’s towards Blood. The blood talent spec is very nice for leveling and in dungeons you can do a decent amount of DPS.

As you start to get up in level and you start accumulating some frost emblems you will want to consider switching to the Undead spec. The Undead spec works best with the tier set of frost gear for the highest amount of raid DPS. You won’t want to consider switching to this spec until you have fully outfitted yourself with triumph emblem gear.

Solo questing is pretty easy for Death Knights but the experience isn’t going to be as good as running dungeons. If you have no desire to tank you may find that your wait times for getting a dungeon group are a little high. This is a good time to start working on a quest. You can alternate in this way all the way up to 80.

Some Death Knights will even spec into frost for tanking purposes even though they intend on switching to a DPS spec once they hit 80. This is because tanks are needed more than DPS and you will not have to wait nearly as long to get a dungeon group as a tank. You won’t need to worry too much about getting tank gear as opposed to DPS gear because you will be buying your DPS gear with your triumph emblems. Once you hit 80 however, if you do not intend on remaining a tank, you will need to switch back over.

This class is an option that is only available to the blood elf, gnome, human, orc, and undead races. Warlocks are only allowed to wear cloth armor, and like many of the casters, and can only use daggers, staves, swords and wands for weapons.

Special Abilities:

The most well known ability of the warlock is to summon and demon minions (including the Imp, Voidwalker, Succubus, Felhunter, Infernal, Doomguard, and Felguard), with different types having different advantages and disadvantages. They also can get Felsteed and Dreadsteed mounts at a much lower cost than other classes that are allowed mounts. Spells are another important ability, including damage over time spells, direct damage spells, and channeled spells. Some of the more useful spells warlocks can use include Fear, Howl of Terror, Banish, Ritual of Summoning, Eye of Kilrogg, Unending Breath, Detect Invisibility, and Sense Demons. They can also use a number of curses, though only one can be in use at any given time. They can use soul shards in order to conjure a variety of items and to resurrect other players. They also have some limited healing ability and some crowd control ability.

Talents: Affliction, Demonology, and Destruction

Affliction Warlock

These talents are meant to improve the warlock’s curses, damage over time spells, and drains. This works best for raiding, boss killing, and farming. It allows the warlock to heal himself and to conserve mana. It is a great specialization for leveling. In fact, Affliction is hands down the best warlock leveling spec. Some of the best talents include suppression, shadow mastery, siphon life, fel concentration, curse of exhaustion, improved corruption, dark pact, unstable affliction, everlasting affliction, and haunt.

Demonology Warlock

These talents are meant to make summoned demons stronger and more useful, as well as improving conjure spells and giving you other passive bonuses. This is a good specialization for buffs, leveling, PvP, and survivability. This talent tree can be used at early levels to help make up for a lack of good spell damage gear. Useful talents include soullink, master demonologist, demonic sacrifice, demonic embrace, demonic pact, demonic knowledge, summon felguard, metamorphosis, and demonic knowledge.

Destruction Warlock

These talents are meant to increase the effectiveness of a warlock’s shadow and fire spells, mainly direct damage spells that can be used to quickly kill one enemy. This specialization is not as popular as the others. It requires more soul shards, is less mana efficient, and is difficult to use for those who wish to play solo. Choosing talents such as molten core, ruin, backlash, improved shadow bolt, conflagrate, ruin, shadow burn, bane, shadow fury, chaos bolt, cataclysm and devastation is helpful.

The warlock is a very easy class to play. The concept is pretty simple. Use damage spells while your pet keeps aggro off of you. The warlock gets a wide variety of damage over time spells as well. The hard part of playing a warlock is grouping. Solo talent trees and group talent trees do not mix well with this class. If you want to solo at all you will need to give up some of your grouping damage.

Your wait times for a random dungeon will be pretty high with a warlock. The best way to get around this is to do quests while you are waiting on a dungeon. A full solo spec would be in the affliction and demonology talent tree but as you will want to do some dungeons you should try leveling up in the demolition talent tree combined with some of the pet enhancing talents of the demonology talent tree. You will find the most use out of the talent which enhances your voidwalker’s taunt ability.

While in a group you will want to try a combination of damage over time spells, direct damage spells, and area of effect damage spells. This will insure that you are getting maximum DPS. Also be sure and summon a soul well for the group as well as a soul stone for the healer. Using your imp pet for dungeons will be most effective at lower levels.

As a warlock stamina is your best friend when it comes to mana. Because warlocks can turn health into mana almost instantly, the more health you have the more mana you can regain quickly. Items with high stamina and intelligence will be your best asset. You will also want to find items with increased spell power at higher levels. Spell power will increase the amount of damage done by your spells.

Shamans are spiritual leaders that can call on the elements for power. They are a hybrid class that is a combination of warrior, healer, and mage, making them a good all around class, although they typically won’t be the best at any one thing. Depending on the talents that they choose they can fulfill a number of different purposes. Only draenei, orcs, trolls and tauren can become shamans. They can use cloth, leather or mail armor and shields, and their weapons options include axes, daggers, fist weapons, maces, and staves.

Special Abilities:

One of the abilities unique to shaman is the use of totems, which they obtain through quests. These represent the power of the elements (earth, air, water, and fire), and can be used in order to buff players, cause damage, or heal players. Only one spell using the totem of each element may be used at the same time, and the shaman must have the totem with them in order to be able to use the corresponding spells. They can be destroyed however, and they can’t be moved (though they can be replaced), so they need to be carefully placed for maximum benefit. Earth spells tend to enhance offense/defense, and slow and taunt enemies. Fire spells usually deal damage. Water spells are used for restoration. Air spells are used for defensive/offensive enhancement similar to the earth spells. The totem spells only work within the 30 to 50 yard radius of the totem’s range.

The other special ability of shamans is the spells they can use (mostly elemental) in order to deal direct damage, heal, or create weapons buffs. These include heals, melee weapons, ranged spells, and short range shocks.

Talents: Elemental, Enhancement, and Restoration

Elemental Shaman

Those who choose this talent gain skills that allow them to cause damage from afar using elemental spells, usually due to improvements in offensive spells and offensive totems. The casting time and mana cost of spells are decreased while the damage and chance for critical strikes. Those who want to spend a lot of time dealing damage in PvP usually chose this talent tree. Useful talents include elemental focus, elemental mastery, elemental fury, elemental oath, thunderstorm, totem of wrath, and ancestral knowledge.

Enhancement Shaman

The enhancement talent tree is focused on causing damage, especially up close in melee situations. Melee skills are improved and enhancement totems are added to the shaman’s arsenal. This is the easiest talent tree to use for leveling, and it has the highest damage potential of the shaman talent trees. Useful talents include shamanistic focus, dual wield, stormstrike, thundering strikes, elemental focus, windfury weapon, feral spirit, and elemental fury.

Restoration Shaman

A restoration shaman focuses on improving healing skills and adding restoration tokens so that they can better resurrect allies and themselves (through reincarnation). This is done through increasing effectiveness while reducing the time it takes to cast the spells and the amount of mana this costs. Useful talents include nature’s swiftness, improved chain heal, nature’s blessing, mana tide, ancestral knowledge, earth shield, and improved shields.

While shamans cannot be tanks they can however be healers or DPS. As with most classes that can be a healer it is recommended that you start out your character out with that spec. This will help you greatly in leveling. Using the random dungeon generator to get groups will be your fastest source of experience. Even if it gets old after a while shamans can easily do solo quests without fear.

If you plan on raiding with your shaman at higher levels you may want to consider changing up your healing talent tree a little bit. Shamans have a unique opportunity to spec more into either tank heals or raid heals. Most people will agree that shamans do over all make better raid healers than tank healers.

While leveling your shaman you may want to pick up dual spec. This will allow you to get fast groups by having one talent tree for healing but still allow you to do some considerable damage while soloing. It also is handy for trying to gear both specs as well.

Many shamans will find that the Decurse add-on is essential to their game play. This add-on will blink when you need to remove curses from people. If you are healing you may not have time to check everyone so this add-on makes it much easier. Combine the Decurse add-on with the Heal Bot add-on and you will have major healing skills. When you are a healer any help goes a long ways.

If you should decided to go DPS you may be surprised at your options for a guild at end game. Many DPS shamans do not do the same amount of damage as other ranged DPS classes. You will find much more success as being a healer if you decided to raid at end game.

You won’t waste time on any unnecessary steps, and you won’t have to worry about losing track of where you are on your quest and where you need to go, no matter how complicated things get.

There are also a few useful extras that come with the guide, including free updates for life, a user forum, and some bonus guides. Usually, World of Warcraft guides will focus on just one aspect of the game such as leveling,  or making gold, or professions, or PvP. The Ultimate WoW Guide, however, actually includes all this information in one package. This guide has the most information of any website. It’s comprehensive and regularly updated to stay current with game patches and expansions.

Leveling Guide

The Ultimate WoW Guide is divided into three general sections. Section one is the 1-85 leveling guide covering all classes for the Alliance and for the Horde. Like the best WoW leveling guides, it uses an in-game leveling add-on to make it as easy to use as possible. This in-game guide is so much better than other guides that make you  switch back and forth between the game and the guide that you won’t ever want to go back.

It’s easy to set up and will actually configure itself depending on your current character. You’ll be shown exactly where to go, what to do, who to talk to. When you accept a quest, the guide puts a marker on your map and shows a directional arrow on your screen that will lead you to the next step in the quest. It works really well and is unobtrusive.

Talent Guide

One thing unique to Ultimate WoW Guide is that their Talent guide is also in-game. You just select the provided templates which assign your talent points to the best spec for your character. Another cool feature is that the guide includes all the class specific quests.  A guide to help you choose the best gear for your character is also included and covers every class form level 1 thru 85.

Gold Guide

The second section of the guide covers making gold. Something to keep in mind is that you won’t need to farm gold when you’re leveling to 85. The quests that you go through in the first part of the Guide (leveling) will provide you with pretty much all the funding you need during that phase. It’s really only after you’ve leveled up that you’ll be able to really make bank anyway. That said, the gold guide does provide strategies to make gold quickly for your mounts at levels 30 and 60 since having them makes leveling that much faster.

The gold guide focuses mainly on where to go to farm rare items, and how to win the auction house game, which is very profitable (like, 500 gold per hour profitable). Guides for leveling up every Profession are also included with the gold guide. They clearly explain how to efficiently level your Professions as cheaply as possible.

PvP Guide

Finally, the third section of the Ultimate World of Warcraft Guide teaches you how to win in player versus player combat (PvP). This is arguably one of the best parts of WoW. All the different types of combat are covered in detail, including the Arena, Battlegrounds, and duels. It teaches you what you need to do in order to beat any class and race combination that you might come across. The guide shows you which mods and talents you should choose for every battle. One of the better character leveling guides for those who are Horde players is Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide. It is meant to bring a player as quickly as possible to level 80 from level 1 (or whatever level you might be on.) This guide has recently been redone to make it even better.

Now you can use Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide within the game itself since there is an in-game module for leveling. You don’t have to keep flipping back and forth between different screens in order to use the guide while you are playing. The old version of the guide, as well as many other guides that are available, required you to do this, which is actually pretty inconvenient.

One of the other features that makes Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide such a good guide is that it includes step by step instructions on how to install the guide and how to get the in-game section of the guide working properly in no time at all. It will also tell you about problems that people have had in the past with the installation and use of the guide and how to go about fixing these problems if you should have them. Of course there are also instructions on how to use the guide while you are playing the game itself.

Joana’s Horde Leveling Guide has been designed to make it as easy as possible to use while you are playing. It has a color coding system to help make it easy to quickly see what actions should be taken at any given time. After starting on a quest they even have arrows to point you in the right direction so that you are sure to go the best way. It has been set up to give you extra information based on the speed of your character, such as when you should arrive at the next waypoint and how far away the waypoint is. This seems to work regardless of how your character travels, so you could be flying or galloping or running and the guide will be able to make the proper calculations for you.

The quests that are chosen by Joana’s guide are based on which ones will get you to the next level the fastest while still getting a sufficient amount of xp. If a quest won’t get you enough points to be worth the time or difficulty involved it is skipped. The guide also tends to avoid grinding, which not everyone likes to do.

The in-game guide is not the only module that is included in this guide, there is also an html guide that you can use when you would like more information. This guide includes all sorts of other resources including tips, maps, videos, and screenshots to help you out when you aren’t sure what to do from the in-game instructions or when quests get a bit complicated.

The guide will be useful for people who are at all different levels in the game, it is not just for beginners. When you start using the guide it might take a short while to figure out where you need to be in the guide if you have already started the game and are in the process of completing some of the quests.
